Your documents are yours

Markdown Editor and Diagram Studio are built by Kunal Yadav (kunalyadav.co.in). This policy explains what is stored and why.

Without an account

Documents, diagrams, uploaded files, version history and settings are stored only on your device (browser IndexedDB / local storage, or the Android app's storage). Nothing is sent to our servers unless you use AI, voice, short share links or grammar checking.

With an account

We store your name, email, country, phone number, the date you joined and your marketing preference, plus the documents, diagrams and settings you sync. Data is stored in Cloudflare D1. Uploaded files (images, PDFs, audio) are not synced and stay on the device where you added them. Password-locked documents are encrypted on your device; we only receive ciphertext and never your password. API keys you add for AI providers never leave your device.

Email

Sign-in codes and a welcome email are sent through ByteMail. If you opted in to marketing, we may email product updates, tips and offers; you can switch this off any time in Account, or reply to any email.

AI, voice and grammar

When you run an AI action, the selected text is sent to the provider you chose (the free built-in model runs on Cloudflare Workers AI). If a provider blocks browser requests, the request is relayed through kunalyadav.co.in without being stored. Voice export uses Cloudflare Workers AI or OpenAI (if you saved an OpenAI key). Grammar checks send text to LanguageTool. Some diagram types are rendered by kroki.io.

Sharing

Private links contain the document inside the URL. Short links store a read-only copy on our server so anyone with the link can view it.

Your rights

You can edit your profile, export everything (Account → backup / zip) and delete your cloud account from Account at any time. For any request email [email protected].
